The following information may answer any more questions you have about booking Rudy:

THE RUDY LACY BAND DOES NOT CARRY IT'S OWN SOUND SYSTEM.
In order to make the event Rudy and the band are participating in the absolute best it can be, a good sound system is of utmost importance. Today's audiences are more aware of sound quality than ever before, and it is our commitment to minister with excellence by having the best sound available. Please understand that "loudness" is not the goal, but clarity and quality are essential. The information below will explain the band's basic sound needs.

Requirements with a band.

SPEAKERS
Good speakers are the start to great sound. Please obtain the most professional speakers available to you within your budget. Please have enough speakers to cover the amount of people anticipated for the event. We want everyone to hear!

POWER AMPLIFIERS
These are the most overlooked elements of sound systems. Good power amps are crucial to making speakers sound their best.

MIXING CONSOLE
The band will need a minimum of 24 channels of inputs to accommodate all of the instruments. As always, the more up-to-date console, the better. The console must be capable of sending at least two monitor mixes... preferably three.

INPUT SNAKE
Please provide an XLR input snake with at least 24 channels.

MONITORS AND MONITOR POWER AMPS
The band will need at least 4 monitors for adequate coverage. Please remember that monitors must also have a power amp in addition to the main speaker power amps.

OUTBOARD EFFECTS
Band sound is a little more difficult to control than simply singing to tracks; therefore, there are a few extra pieces of gear necessary to obtain the best sound possible. Please provide at least 10 channels of compression. Please provide at least two reverb units of some kind. Gates for the drums would be greatly appreciated if possible to obtain.
For any questions regarding sound for any event please contact Rudy at rudy@rudylacy.com
This information is for sponsors bringing in Rudy without a band for a service/event.

Requirements without a band.

INPUT SNAKE
This is a small but very important part of the sound system setup. It is much better if Rudy’s sound is engineered by your most qualified sound person. Without an input snake, Rudy will be required to run his own sound from the stage. A sound engineer situated in the audience mixing the sound will provide optimum results.

MONITORS AND MONITOR POWER AMPS
Rudy will need at least two monitors for adequate coverage of the stage. Only one monitor mix is required for a solo date. Please remember that monitors must also have a power amp in addition to the main speaker power amps.
